Ana Plasencia
Ana Plasencia is an experienced event host, comfortable presenting in German, Spanish, English, and Italian.
In addition to her work as a television journalist and news anchor, Ana Plasencia hosts selected events, such as: the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale); BDI’s German Industry Day; the Forum for Foreign Science Policy; EULAR’s European Congress of Rheumatology; the award ceremony for the German Football Ambassadors; and the kick-off event for the World Congress of German Schools Abroad.
BDI – German Industry Day – Ana Plasencia hosted the day featuring prominent speakers: including BDI President, Chancellor Angela Merkel and selected Federal Ministers.
Recently, she hosted the ceremony to award the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany to former United States Secretary of State, John Kerry.
The likeable presenter was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1974. She grew up in the Canary Islands where she studied at the German international school. In the early 90s, she came back to Germany to study journalism and communication science at the Freie Universität Berlin. When the Spanish woman is asked where she is more at home, whether in Tenerife or in Germany, she replies: “Both – you can feel at home anywhere”.
